Support
SnailRead is a one-person studio, so support is handled by email — but a human reads everything. We aim to reply within two business days.
Email us
When emailing about a problem, it helps to include:
- Which device (e.g. iPhone 15 Pro, iPad Pro M4, MacBook Air M2)
- iOS / iPadOS / macOS version
- SnailRead app version (in Settings → About)
- What you were doing when it went wrong, and what you expected
- A screenshot or screen recording, if relevant
Subscriptions, billing, refunds
Subscriptions and payments are handled by Apple. Manage your subscription or request a refund:
- Manage / cancel: on your iPhone or iPad, open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → SnailRead.
- Refund: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the SnailRead purchase.
- Restore on a new device: install SnailRead, sign in with the same Apple ID, and open Settings → Restore purchases.
iCloud sync isn't working
SnailRead syncs through your private Apple iCloud. If a device isn't keeping up:
- Confirm you're signed into the same Apple ID on each device
- Check Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → iCloud Drive is on, and that SnailRead is enabled in the app list
- Check you have iCloud storage available
- Force a sync from SnailRead → Settings → Sync now
If sync still misbehaves after that, email us with the device list and we'll help diagnose.
AI credits
Plus does not include AI credits — AI features are part of the AI and AI Pro tiers. Your monthly credit allowance refreshes on the renewal date of your subscription, and your remaining balance is visible in Settings → AI usage. Unused credits don't roll over.
If a credit charge looks wrong, send us the timestamp shown in Settings → AI usage and we will check the log.
Privacy and data requests
To request a copy of your account data, correct it, or delete your account, email support@startpoint.dev from the address tied to your account. We aim to action requests within 30 days.
See the Privacy Policy for details on what we collect.
Common questions
Many quick answers live on the homepage FAQ. If your question isn't covered there, email us — we use questions to decide what to add next.
Bug reports and feature ideas
We love hearing both. The same address works for either: support@startpoint.dev. Bug reports go straight into the next maintenance build; feature ideas feed into the public roadmap.
